Prey Enters...

After arriving at the Golden Chrysalis, the heirs split up. Marik stays behind with the cart and other servants, Via and Cailynn head off to investigate a magical sense that is affecting them, while Xanthe and Edwinn head into the midst of the party to speak to various people.

Marik heads outside and eventually comes across three men wearing dragon masks. Sneaking after them, he is able to overhear their conversation and learn that they have acquired information about the arrival of the heirs, though the cult currently thinks they are just reinforcements for the Blades of Zandoria rather than the King's Hand. They also speak of a traitor in Ederia, one so high up that it could shake the foundation of the kingdom if anyone learned their identity. After interrogating one, Marik learns that the only person who knows this traitor's identity is The Shepherd. A fight breaks out, with Marik and Thorn killing all three cultists.

Xanthe and Edwinn speak to Lady Solène Montclair, and after mentioning that they were looking for change, are directed to speak with Zayd Ibn Lucien. After much discussion, it is revealed that Zayd is in the process of a ritual that will bring a dragon back to life, with the only component missing being the Dragonborn Zepharos. He offers to reward Xanthe if she delivers Zepharos to him. However, during this conversation assassins strike out at Zayd. Xanthe convinces the attackers to fall back, mentioning that they were located in Coline should they want to speak again. The attackers leave, and Zayn is grateful for Xanthe and Edwinn's intervention.

Via and Cailynn meanwhile, head to an isolated room in order to conduct their own investigation. They follow a sense of hell-touched magic, Via in the real world, while Cailynn veil walks to find the source.

Shortly after that, someone descents into the laboratory. Cailynn and Via both escape, but not before a wild blood seemed to notice Cailynn spirit walk. They are however able to return to their room before they are fully discovered.

All of the heirs are then gathered and brought up, heading into a private conference to speak with their host: The information broker, The Silk Spider.
