Delirium

The heirs quickly speak to Captain Moreau, eventually convincing her that they were indeed the heirs, and the King's Hand sent to Soleilae in order to aid her and her troops. After lowering Xanthe, Moreau gets the heirs caught up on several matters, such as how her forces were wiped out in Chateau Beauregard, and the current state of Zevaros, whose tower was under attack from cultists a few weeks ago. While Moreau doesn't know the current condition of the dragonborn, she did inform the heirs she could provide the location of a secret rear entrance into his tower.

The group takes the evening to rest before disucssiong their options the next day. While many paths are consideted, they eventually decide to make their way to The Golden Chrysalis to see the Silk Spider, hoping to learn what information she has on the cult, and also to obtain the piece of the phylactery that's rumored to be held there.

Edwinn, Xanthe, and Via head to the nearby tavern in order to try and gather information. There, they are introduced to a former knight of Ederia by the name of Torwyn Astralor. While once known for his knightly behavior and his performances in various knight tournaments, it seems things have changed as he now seems to be wallowing in alcohol. Despite some concerns, the three heirs decide to employ the man, hoping that he could keep an eye on Colline while they are gone incase of any cult activity. While not buying their cover story, Torwynn does agree to help.

After placing a rush order for various fancy garbs, the group takes a carriage to the Golden Chrysalis. However, on the way they find another carriage being assaulted by manticores. While the group initially intervenes against the creatures, they soon reveal themselves to be pets of the Silk Spider, trying to get back items that were stolen. The heirs return the stolen information and make their way after the manticores, nearly arriving at their destination.

They find a hidden laboratory that exists under the estate, where imps fused with intellect-devourer brain matter are held. There are also several essences of memories in the jars, with Cailynn accidentally absorbing one in her form. The memory revolved around a veil walker who learned something dangerous, and was killed soon after.
