Scars

The heirs fight with Garrett and Bjorn against the cultists, Seraphina and Brenna. After a tense battle, they are able to escape but so do Seraphina and Brenna.

Making their way through the castle, the heirs, Garrett, and Bjorn make their way to Talon's room. They find all of Talon's guards dead and find that Talon's sword has been stolen, but more disturbingly he has been left barely alive, one of his eyes gone, and with some intricate runes and symbols carved into his back. Garrett and Bjorn work together, allowing them to save Talon's life.

The heirs are bothered by this turn of events, but decide to make sure the rest of their people are okay. Heading back to the hall where the main attack took place, they learn the entire list of the dead, along with the names of all the traitors. They also receive a sending from Crown's Rest, indicating the castle has been attacked as well, and two of the dragon eggs have been stolen. However, Raynere has also woken up from his coma.

Xanthe goes to check on her grandmother, with Bishop Maellis performing some magic to heal her and stabalize her. Marik also checks on his mother and grandfather, who sustained injuries but are ultimately alright.

The heirs gather together once again, preparing to leave on Elendara's Promise with Talon in order to head back to Crown's Rest as quickly as possible. Unsure of what their next move is, their first priority is the safety of their father.
