Importance:
One of the seven called to the Sentinel trials, and an emissary of the Arcadian Republic. She wins her trial. Via asks to be put in front of her out of straightforward curiosity about the Republic, and Xanthe arranges for each contestant to be interviewed with the others in the room. At the family dinner that night Thalia's attention keeps going back to Talon; once Davian has left, Talon allows that she may hold some sort of grudge against him, and does not say what it is.

In the Republic we elect the people who disappoint us. I am told the difference is small. I am not yet convinced it is.
