Cailynn's oldest friend and constant companion, who can speak plainly only while a berry lasts and has to choose his moments carefully. He knew more about the Wildblood than he had ever said. He explains what a Slayer is - a veilwalker given too much knowledge too quickly - and warns Cailynn that killing such things costs you pieces of yourself. Cailynn has told him that whatever else turns out to be true, she will not turn on him.
