Mephistopheles

The archdevil who holds Xanthe's soul, bought by Elendara Falkrest on the Night of Crimson Tears to save Talon and Edemere. He is professional rather than cruel, which worries Xanthe more - he wants her on the throne because he wants his investment to pay, not because he cares what happens to Ederia. Something is stopping the dead from passing on and it is thinning his power; by the end of their conversation he cannot hold his younger face.
